Internet Safari Guides Never Vacation

online marketing strategies

Greetings From The Internet Jungle.

You would think that everyone is entitled to a vacation, right? Well when you are in the business of guiding entrepreneurs through the Internet jungle, there really is no time off.

Dangerous creatures lurk in the jungle looking for sleeping prey. These come in the form of software updates, technology changes, Google algorithms and those nasty viruses hacked up throughout the jungle.

Jam Packed Summer

This summer we have seen a lot of changes. In fact, we’ve been so busy we haven’t been doing a good job taking care of our own outfit. This is my first post in months.

Some of the things we have addressed on your behalf this summer:

Video Presentation

There were big changes with the way video is presented on your websites. Some of you may have noticed an error message where there was once a video. We are just finishing upgrading everyone to the newest video presenter.

Upgrade Bugs

Whenever there are changes to improve your online marketing efforts, there are always some bugs to work out. We appreciate when you let us know when you see something you think needs to be addressed. We can’t check everyone’s website. Because you are the owner of your site, you need to make sure you are consistently on your own website, making sure everything is performing the way you expect it to.

Script Updates

There seems to be more updates then ever this summer. Most of this is to stay ahead of security risks to your website and email. On average, we are updating your site 1-2 times per week.

Responsive Sites

Many of you know about Googles big announcement this past spring. Many in our industry referred to it as Mobilegeddon. Google has kept its word and has downgraded many sites who did not address their websites responsiveness to all devises, especially smartphones.

Ecommerce

For those of you who online stores or catalogs, PayPal is no longer part of Ebay. With the separation will come changes to how PayPal will meet you needs for secure online purchases. We are making sure you eStore is up to date.

Credit Card Chips

Big changes in the way credit card transactions will work with the new chip readers put you at risk. Fraudulent use of cards will no longer be covered by your card issuing  bank, UNLESS you use a chip reader. If you don’t,  you will now be responsible for any fraudulent charges. How will this affect online purchases? We’ll keep you posted.

These are just a few of the things we  guide you around or through. Our goal is that you never fall prey to these dangers that lie low in the jungle. But if you do, we are there with the first aid needed until we can diagnose and take care of the issue.

The Internet jungle never rests, so as your safari guide, if we do get away, we make sure we stay alert and connected to keep you moving toward your goal of online marketing success.
