Community Stars was started in 1997 when Roxanne Hayhurst, a single mother raising 6 children found she was spending many valuable hours organizing and attempting to keep all their schoolwork in order.

Roxanne saw the need to produce an organizational tool that would fit within the cost constraints all schools face. Since Community Stars was created, it has been an integral part of hundreds of schools. The program aids in the teacher-to-parent relationship by offering the schools high quality homework folders completely free of charge.
